Campus AI — bilingual RAG assistant

CS graduation project · A−

  • Built a hybrid retrieval pipeline (dense semantic + BM25) over ChromaDB with cross-encoder reranking, multi-turn memory and query rewriting.
  • Designed a 182-case test set and a 21-question hand-labelled Arabic RAGAS set; raised retrieval accuracy from 54.4% to 97.0% through error-pattern analysis and preprocessing changes.
  • Supports both local inference and a hosted API path.

NexoBot — cybersecurity investigation agent

  • Built the React chat interface from scratch — SSE message streaming, session handling, sidebar.
  • Built the full deployment and observability layer: Docker Compose across all services, backend and frontend Dockerfiles, Nginx, a CUDA GPU override, Prometheus instrumentation, and a nine-panel Grafana dashboard.
  • Instrumented LLM-specific failure modes — busy-rejection rate and silent stream errors — alongside RED metrics measured as histogram quantiles.

Customer Segmentation & Anomaly Detection

  • Owned the DBSCAN clustering and anomaly-detection module; tuned parameters via K-Distance plot and grid search scored on Silhouette, cluster count and noise ratio.
  • Benchmarked DBSCAN against K-Means and Hierarchical clustering on Silhouette, Davies–Bouldin and Calinski–Harabasz with PCA projections.
  • Classified every outlier into an actionable business category.
